On saturday my dad and I got the seat and belts installed into the car. What a process that was! As Doug said "its like shoving 10lbs of crap in a 5lb bag", we ended up taking the whole right side of the car off just so we could work on things. After getting everything installed i decided to climb in and again i had to STUFF 180lbs of crap into a 100lb bag! I am here to tell you it is a tad tight in this car! If I gain any weight im not going to fit! so im starting operation not having to buy another seat by watching what I eat mostly cutting way down on my sugar intake.
Other than the fact I had to work all night it was a good day on the race car front, got my seat some wheels and tires and my NecksGen came today! I found out that their customer service is 1st rate there was a mix up with how the order was placed therefore screwing up the shipping so I called them on friday and they said to make it right they were going to over night it with saturday delivery for free now coming from California that had to cost a pretty penny! I dont know how the product performs yet But if it works like their customer service I am going to be very happy with it! Ofcoarse being me I got home at 0130 this morning and un packed the box and went to town checking it out and decided to install the helmet hardware. When I opened the box I found a nice little carrying case with the necksgen device, a hat, some stickers and a patch for my fire suite and instructions. Installation was a snap you just take the little tool provided and wedge the backing plate between the inner liner and outer shell of my bell Br1 helmet line up the hole and screw the allen head screw in making sure the hardware is at a 45 degree angle and your done! Tomorrow I plan on getting the seat and belts in the car and will try the Necksgen out in the seat with belts on. Well as the title says WINTER SUCKS! After a couple of back to back storms in a week it is safe to say I am sick of winter! I am caught in a catch 22 because this is the time of year I make extra money because I plow snow for the living but as every year it is getting old!
We got a new set of scales ended up buying the proform wireless scales and tried them out today they are pretty cool and I cannot believe how balanced this car is! It is about 50% across the board! |
